Here are four tips on how to create your own zen space at home. A nook created for you and you alone where you can go to find peace stillness to restore and rejuvenate yourself.
1. Get Cozy & Comfortable
A beautiful and Lux meditation cushion or chair is a must. Comfort is key to any form of quiet time or stillness. You want to be able to melt down deep into the surface below you where you allow yourself to completely let go of the day’s trials and tribulations. Make the space cozy with some soft textures around you.
2. Add Aromatics
Treat yourself to good quality candles, with aromas that are designed to relieve stress and calm the nervous system. Scents of high quality have calming properties that reduce stress and boost morale. A candle has the added benefit of providing a focal point for your eyes to rest on during meditation or time of stillness.
3. Clear the Clutter
Even if your eyes are closed while meditating or sitting in stillness, you can still sense stuff strewn about the space your in. Keep your sacred space always primed and ready to welcome you.
4. Add Sound
Set up a Bluetooth speaker to play chill music, binaural beats, or your favorite guided meditation. It’ll be an aural upgrade from your phone’s speakers and may feel freeing to release yourself from the headphones.
